Watch this!!!
!
 Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Isn't it fantastic? A headset which costs 299$ (there are even cheaper ones), that can READ YOUR BRAIN and use those thoughts in the computer, in games!
It is fantastic what Technology Science continues to bring us... Grin

Here is the Wikipedia article about the headset in the video:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotiv_Systems

The official website:
http://www.emotiv.com/

And their YouTube page:
http://www.youtube.com/emotivsystem/
Another video about the headset

"You think, therefore you can." Tongue

You can find more pages about the Technology and similar headsets in related pages, internal Wikipedia links etc.

Edit: Hmm, 299$ is a bit I know... There's one that costs 100$, but only has 1 electrode instead of 14. But compared to medical electroencephalography machines, which cost tens of thousands of dollars, it's cheap. Tongue

Well, why shouldn't they? Grin It's not like our mind is somehow seperated from our physical brains, like if we had a "soul" or something, that was our mind which had nothing to do with our physical body... Grin Tongue

Well, you don't need to think, you can watch the video. But I guess you did, and anyways, you concluded they were real... Tongue

In fact, this technology has been available for one or two years I think, and even longer at the insane price used in hospitals... I wonder why I hadn't read anything about it before it was posted on a video blog.

Haha. Smiley
I think it could be very interesting to have it, not just to be able to control something with your brain, but maybe you could learn to control your thoughts more precisely somehow, or learn how to imagine things (like "zoom"). Tongue

That would be transferring data into your brain. It's not impossible, as some people have artificial eyes, legs etc. which are connected to the nerve cells in your body...
But what should the DVD be connected to... You'll have to be able to disconnect it again.
I think.
