But thanks for telling me what it does. No problem. Map games are so boring. What could make them more exciting, if anything could?
Anyways [to everyone], I was considering this trade system that could create some less predictable gameplay. I've considered these ideas: You can trade with the nations that border your land and all nations with access to the sea (if you have access to the sea too). This could make it strategically important to have access to the sea. This would also count for the lakes, but then the two nations have to have access to the same lake. When two nations have agreed to trade, it would increase the growth of both nations. It could be most beneficial to the smaller nation or equally beneficial. The systems could be: 1: For every nation you're trading with, the number of zones you can claim pr. turn is increased by one. 2: When you trade with a nation, a percentage of the growth they get is shared (without them losing any growth). Like if you have a nation with 10 zones and trade with a nation with 20 zones, the following would happen to your growth: You get a bonus of 20/25 = 0.8 zones pr. turn. The other nation gets a bonus of 10/25 = 0.4 zones pr. turn. When that is added to the un-rounded number you may claim, you round the number, so if you had 12 zones, you would without trading be able to claim 3.4 zones pr. turn, rounded down to 3, but if you received 0.2 from trade, it would become 3.6 zones pr. turn, and you could round it up to 4.  So, what do you think about the system? |

Naru523's turn has expired, and he has been placed on the inactive list, so he can join again whenever he wants to. The trade system has been implemented, nations can trade now. No problem. Now NeutronStar has 3 days to use 7 / 5 + 1 = 2 zone points. I'd recommend that you guys start trading and form an alliance if you want to have any chance against me...  NeutronStar's turn has expired, my turn is uploaded below, so now matty406 has 3 days to use 7 / 5 + 1 = 2 zone points. Hmm, I got an idea that could make the game more hard to win... The nation(s) with the highest number of zones would have the amount of zones it may claim pr. turn reduced by 50%. Just an idea, it could also be another percentage... You can comment what you think. |

Lol.  Now it's NeutronStar's turn, he may claim 2 zones... By the way, I'd suggest that you secure the area marked with orange lines. That way I won't be able to get into the eastern half of the planet, at least not without declaring war on one of you. |

Good, now NeutronStar has one day to take his turn. He may claim 2 zones. Important note about wars, if anyone should decide to declare war soon... (Yes, I'm looking at you, matty406! ) When you claim a zone from the enemy, you use two "zone points", in the sense that if you had 10 zones (and thus were allowed to claim 10 / 5 + 1 = 3 zones), you could decide to claim 1 from your enemy and 1 empty zone or 3 empty zones. |

I don't really have a problem with you applying the bonus to this round, but if we were more players playing and you had other enemies than me, you'd have to redo your turn. I'll upload my turn below. Let's see what happens... >:] I can see matty406 also applied the trade bonus from round 13... Please read the rules, I even mentioned them in a post here on page 8... :/ And edit: In fact [NeutronStar], you were allowed to claim 3 for normal, but trade didn't change anything this turn. So you didn't break the rules. Upload, you were lucky there. Now it's matty406's turn. You may claim 16 / 5 + 1 + 12 / 25 = 5 zones. (And if you go to war, remember that taking an enemy zone is equal to claiming two normal zones. ) |
